Here is a comment from one of my students from this weekend's Reiki II course. We practiced sending Distance Healing and she gave a DH to her husband who was at home at the time. This is a great story because we are not trained to honor subtle energy in our culture, so for all of us there is doubt about not only about whether it works, but if it even exists:

"Just a quick note to let you know that I had sent distance reiki to my husband.
When I got home, I told him that I had.  Without any thought he said that at one point
he felt a wave of some sort pass through his body.  When I asked him if he
could remember about what time that was, he waited for a minute and said some
where around 5:00 (it was 5:10 when I sent it).  So good.....
 
I needed that, because for me I'm never sure what I feel or see, yet it seems
to come so easy to others.  I think I need to get past the hesitation and just
go with it."
